Is JeM chief Masood Azhar, who is suffering from liver cancer dead? News is floating around on social media that JeM chief Masood Azhar died. There is no official confirmation yet. According to the JeM, Azhar was alive and had dismissed rumors. Also as per family sources, Masood Azhar was alive.
The media had reported that Azhar was suffering from liver cancer and passed away in the Rawalpindi Army Hospital on March 2, 2019.
Earlier in an interview to CNN, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi admitted that the JeM chief is in Pakistan and is “very unwell”.
“He is in Pakistan, according to my information. He is unwell to the extent that he can’t leave his house, because he’s really unwell,” Qureshi said.
As per another report the Pakistan Army had shifted Azhar from its Rawalpindi base hospital to a Jaish camp in Goth Ghanni in Bahawalpur at around 7.30pm on Sunday. JeM had condemned the Imran Khan government accusing it of bowing to pressure from India and the international community.
